To champion the Ogiek Women's land rights and broader human rights for Ogiek women.
To promote sustainable development by utilizing natural resources through innovative strategies, creating alternative livelihoods for Ogiek women and the community at large.
To promote gender parity and gender sensitivity, particularly within Narok County.
To preserve and safeguard the Mau Forest and its water catchment areas.
OWDC also works to increase local financial and political support for effective environmental governance and policy-making, ensuring that women’s rights remain central to all initiatives. Furthermore, OWDC supports marginalized groups, including women with disabilities and orphans affected by HIV/AIDS.
