The Ogiek Women Development Consortium (OWDC) is a grassroots, women-led organization founded in 1999 and officially registered in 2000.

Born out of a collective voice of seven Ogiek women self-help groups, OWDC works to address the social, economic, environmental, and political challenges faced by Ogiek women, youth, and children. Ogiek Women's Development Consort (OWDC) endeavors in the fight for women’s, youth, and children's rights of the Ogiek community.

Our Mission

To empower, build capacity, advocate for, and transform the lives of Ogiek women, youth, and children through lobbying, policy development, networking, and training—fostering an enabling environment for the realization of their rights by 2030.
